Bernie Nicholls | Sports Ambassador
Bernie is well known for his incredible career as a Canadian former professional hockey centre, having played over 1000 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks.He is one of only eight players in NHL history to score 70 goals in one season, and one of five to score 150 points. Throughout his career, Bernie has generously given of himself to charities and worthy causes. The Bernie Nicholls Foundation has raised funds for organizations such as the Unforgettables Foundation (which offers financial assistance to families that can’t afford a funeral for their child) and Bernie has consistently participated in charity driven sporting events in Golf and Hockey. In addition to providing leadership, consulting, and coaching services to the NHL since his retirement as a player, Bernie has focused his efforts on Business and Venture Development for a number of successful organizations. Throwing in his powerful alumni association and other HBCU friends, he has established many strategic business and social relationships all across the country.
